Wildlife Removal Before & After Photos

Recently, we were sent out to a home in Forked River, NJ to remove a raccoon that had infested the customers attic. When we arrived and inspected the home, we discovered that the raccoon completely ripped off the customers gable vent! This isn't uncommon because over time, the gable vents get weathered and nuisance wildlife have no trouble ripping away the gable vents to find shelter inside a home.

In order to safely retrieve the raccoon, we installed a positive set over the gable vent, temporarily enclosed the area off with hardware cloth, and set up several baited devices nearby. A positive set is made up of a nose cone that is attached to a two-gaited, heavy-duty device. The nose cone is going to safely guide the raccoon into the device. It's called a positive set, because we are positive that the raccoon will enter the device! As a matter of fact, a short while later, we successfully retrieved the raccoon and relocated it to a humane environment!

To prevent reinfestation from any additional raccoons, we installed a brand new gable vent and then enclosed it off with a louvered vent guard. This material is made out of heavy-duty Galvannealed steel, which means that it won't rust. It is also customized to accommodate the shape and size of the newly installed gable vent and will properly secure the area from all nuisance wildlife! 

Now that we successfully and safely retrieved all the skunks that were harboring underneath this homeowners shed and relocated them to a humane environment, we need to make sure that the skunks, and other nuisance wildlife, don't reinfest that area.

To do this, we dug a 12 inch deep trench and then installed hardware cloth. The hardware cloth is installed 12 inches deep and 12 inches out from the bottom of the shed. This creates a sturdy "L shaped" perimeter that will prevent skunks, and other nuisance wildlife, from digging and nesting underneath the shed.

A new customer in Beachwood, NJ, called Little Rascals after spotting an opossum walking across her yard and going underneath her shed! In order to safely retrieve the opossum, we installed a positive set and then installed Dig Defense® around the entire shed.

It's called a positive set, because we are positive that the opossum will enter the device. Dig Defense® is a below-ground fence system that is 15 inches deep, 4 feet across, and protects structures against opossums, skunks, groundhogs, and other nuisance wildlife!

In a short amount of time, we successfully retrieved the opossum and relocated it to a humane environment. We then removed our device, filled in the burrow, and installed another portion of Dig Defense®.

This homeowner in Holmdel, NJ had an issue with a groundhog nesting underneath her back deck, so she called Little Rascals for help. We installed our retrieval devices and, after a short period of time, we successfully and safely retrieved the groundhog and relocated to a new, safer location. 

In order to prevent any additional groundhogs, or any other nuisance wildlife, from harboring underneath the customers deck, we installed Dig Defense®. Dig Defense® is a below-ground fence system that is 15 inches deep, 4 feet across, and protects structures against invasive nuisance wildlife and feral animals.

This homeowner in Long Beach Island, NJ had a family of squirrels nesting in the exterior shower ceiling of his property. So he called Little Rascals for help and we were sent out. After inspecting the area, we immediately noticed a large opening around the pylon. So we installed a one-way device over that access point, enclosed the area off with hardware cloth temporarily, and then set up several baited devices nearby. The one-way will allow the squirrels to leave the area but prevent them from returning.

After a short period of time, we successfully retrieved the entire family of squirrels and took them to a new, safer location. To prevent any future nuisance wildlife intrusions in this area, we installed sturdy white metal flashing to blend in with the pylon.
