Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Stopping the Raccoons from ReEntering Home in Brick, NJ
A raccoon decided to rent out this homeowner's attic in Brick, NJ.
The Soffit Return
The raccoon was entering the attic by squeezing through the soffit return.
Safely Retrieving the raccoon
We installed a positive set over the soffit return, temporarily enclosed the area off with hardware cloth, and set up several baited devices nearby. What's a positive set? A retrieval device that's made up of a nose cone that is attached to a two-gaited, heavy-duty device. The nose cone is going to safely guide the raccoon into the device. A short while later, we safely retrieved the raccoon and relocated it to a new, humane location.
Fashioning Some New
We then disinfected the attic, went back to our trucks, fashioned a piece of study metal flashing...
Excluded!
...and installed it over the soffit return to prevent any future nuisance wildlife infestations!
