Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Raccoons Use the Soffit Return to Infest Home in Gladstone, NJ
This customer in Gladstone, NJ, called our Nuisance Wildlife Division after noticing a raccoon walking on his roof one evening and getting into his attic!
The Soffit Return
The raccoon was getting into the home via the soffit return here...
A Lot of Damage
...and over here as well. As you can see, the raccoon caused some significant damage to the home.
Setting Up
To safely retrieve the raccoon, we installed a positive set over each of the access points and then temporarily enclosed them with hardware cloth.
A Positive SetUp
A positive set is comprised of a nose cone (which safely guides the raccoon) that is attached to a two-gaited, heavy-duty device. It's called a positive set, because we are positive that the raccoon will enter our device. Once we safely retrieve the raccoon, we will relocate it to a new, humane location, disinfect the attic, and install sturdy metal flashing over the access points to prevent any future nuisance wildlife intrusions.
