Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Insulation Soaked with Urine Thanks to Raccoons in Monmouth Junction, NJ These raccoons caused quite a bit of damage to this home in Monmouth Junction, NJ. By the Dormer The raccoon ripped off a portion of the soffit underneath the dormer and invaded the home. Not Water Damage That stain right there in the basement closet isn't from a water leak, but from raccoon urine! Smell Was Unbearable There was so much urine that it was actually soaking through the walls as well! The smell was almost unbearable. Tear Out At the owners request, we tore out the sheetrock walls to better asses the damage. Insulation Must be Disposed Of Ever piece of insulation was contaminated with urine and feces. We carefully disposed of the insulation & the sheetrock and disinfected the area. Sturdy Metal Flashing After we safely removed the raccoon and relocated it to a new, humane location we sealed up the access point with sturdy metal flashing.
