The homeowner was hearing noises in the night coming from the attic. This was a pretty clear cut job, sounded like raccoons. Raccoons can be quite dangerous, so with caution, we inspected the attic and found raccoons. Now, we need to figure out how they were getting in. We conduct a full interior and exterior inspection and found that the entry point was in the back roof edge. It appears they are climbing up on to the deck and then the corners of the siding to get to the roof. Raccoons are incredible climbers.

Setting the traps in Hazlet, New Jersey
I set traps on the roof along their path and by their entry point. Today I caught the second raccoon. I removed her, no babies, to be humanely relocated. I tape the entry point initially so I can see if there are any more raccoons coming in or out of the attic. I will then cover the hole with aluminum.
