Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Attic Fan Torn Apart by Raccoons in Freehold, NJ
A raccoon decided to rip apart this attic fan and make a new home in the attic.
Tiles Are Ripped Up
A raccoon had ripped up the tiles and invaded the home through the attic fan. The attic fan was so badly damaged that, with the owner's permission, we removed it and replaced it with a new one.
Nice and Sturdy
Now that the attic fan has been replaced, we can safely retrieve the raccoon.
Stay Positive
For this situation, we set up a positive set, which consists of a nose cone that is designed to safely guide the raccoon into a two-gaited heavy-duty device. This setup is called a positive set because we are positive that the raccoon will have no other way to exit but through our device. We also placed several baited traps nearby.
A Matter of Time
Once we safely retrieve the raccoon, we will relocate it to a new humane environment, disinfect the attic area, and install an attic fan cover. The attic fan cover is made of heavy-duty 18 Gauge expanded Galvannealed steel mesh and will prevent raccoons as well as all nuisance wildlife from gaining access into the home.
