Wildlife Removal Photo Album: An Inspection for Raccoons in Long Branch, NJ
One of the tenants of an apartment building in Long Branch, NJ mentioned hearing "animal noises" during the late hours of the night. The property manager suspected that it might be raccoons, so he called our office and we were sent out to investigate.
Raccoons Left Presents
While inspecting the building, we discovered something near the fire escape - a buildup of raccoon feces!
How Do We Know it Was Raccoons?
Raccoon feces are about two to three inches long, dark and tubular in shape. An easy way to identify raccoon scat (droppings) is to look for undigested food.
Number of Parasites
Raccoon feces contains a number of diseases and parasites, most notoriously Baylisascaris procyonis, or raccoon roundworm.
Report Our Findings
Now that we located where the main access point was, we will report our findings to the property manager and once he reviews everything, we can begin safely trapping the nuisance raccoons.
