A homeowner in Middletown, NJ called our office after hearing noises in between the wall next to the chimney.
Opening on the Outside
I began inspecting the exterior and came across a chewed out opening between the siding and the chimney.
It Was...
After a thorough inspection, I determined that it was squirrels that did this.
Setting Up
I temporarily enclosed the area with hardware cloth and installed a one-way device. The one-way will allow the squirrels to safely exit the area, but prevent them from getting back in. I also placed several baited traps nearby. One all the squirrels are safely removed from the home, I'll properly seal off the area.
