Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Quite a Hole in the Roof in Long Branch, NJ
Previously, an electrician moved an electrical pipe for this homeowner in Long Branch, NJ to a new location and forgot to seal up the hole he made!
Left a Hole
The electrician did the work, but forgot to seal up the hole! Fortunately, after a thorough inspection, there was no sign of any wildlife or mold in the attic. However, if left just the way it is, it could certainly cause water damage and invite nuisance wildlife to enter the home.
Sealed and Secured
We patched up the hole using metal flashing. We cut the flashing as the same size of the roof shingle, secured it in place, and used a waterproof, premium sealant. It looks white now, because the sealant is still wet and drying.
Blend it In
In order to make the roof look exactly like it did before, we matched the color of the roof with an asphalt granular and applied it to the metal flashing, that way it blends in with the roof.
Good As New
Now the hole has been repaired, blends in with the roof, and prevents any mold or nuisance wildlife from entering.
