Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Bats Soil Attic Insulation, So We Clean It Up in Holmdel, NJ
Although the bats were long gone from this attic in Holmdel, NJ, they left behind a toxic mess of bat guano (bat feces).
Guano in the Insulation
The bats were safely removed, but their mess was still here and contaminated the insulation.
Cleaning Up
We needed to carefully remove all the contaminated insulation in the attic.
Bagging Up
After removing all the contaminated insulation, we're going to vacuum, disinfect, and deodorize the attic.
Adding the Cellulose Insulation
After everything was disinfected, we blew in 10" of TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation. The blown-in cellulose has a higher R-value than fiberglass insulation and increases the efficiency of the HVAC system and reduces energy costs. Now the homeowner can enjoy an attic that is free of wildlife odors , dangerous droppings, and properly insulated.
