As you can see, this was a tall house. I began inspecting the rooftop and couldn't find any signs of squirrels nor any openings.
Even Higher Up
I equipped my safety gear and then began inspecting the steeper places on the roof and found the opening. The squirrels were chewing into the static vent and entering the attic.
Careful
In order to get to the static vent safely, I installed ladder brackets on the roof, placed a ladder down, and then safely installed a temporary static vent cover and a one-way device.
The One-Way
With the temporary static vent cover in place, squirrels will have no choice but to exit through the one-way device. The one-way device allows the squirrels to exit the attic safely but is designed to prevent them from getting back in.
Sealed and Secured for Good
After all the squirrels were removed, I sanitized the attic and installed a new static vent cover to prevent future pest infestations.
