Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Squirrels Causing Chaos in Red Bank, NJ
I went out on a service call to Red Bank, NJ for a homeowner who was having an issue with squirrels getting into his attic.
Through the Gable Vent
We inspected the exterior of the home and noticed that the gable vent was damaged. Upon closer inspection we found squirrels hair caught in the vent. This is how the squirrels gained access to the attic area - they chewed the plastic and the thin screen on the inside which caused some serious chaos for this homeowner.
One Way to Evict Them
We temporarily sealed off the gable vent and, since this was the main access point, placed a one-way device in front of it. The one-way device will allow the squirrel to leave the attic safely but prevent it from getting back in.
A Few Traps
We also set-up a few baited traps along the squirrel's path.
Evicted and Sealed
In a short amount of time all of the squirrels were evicted from the home and then we sanitized the attic area. We offered to replace the gable vent but for budget reasons, the customer chose to have the gable vent patched instead of replacing it. The patch is made up of strong material which will last for many years and prevent future wildlife intrusions.
