Bat Control: Batman Bandit in Aberdeen Bank, NJ
Challenge
Holy ATM Batman! I recently found out that for nocturnal bats, 24-hour banking comes in handy. I was dispatched to a bank in Aberdeen, NJ to capture and relocate a bat that had decided to patronize a local bank after business hours. The bat managed to find its way inside a bank’s drop box for overnight deposits. My guess is that the bat was busy chasing mosquitoes or other insects and, while in hot pursuit, he somehow managed to weasel his way into the drop box.
Solution
Getting out proved to be much more challenging than getting in, and he was stuck. I removed the bat, and, strange as it may sound, the little guy actually seemed happy to see me with a face that just said, “get me out of here!” Lucky for him, unlike other bank “deposits,” the bank did not wait for the bat to “clear” before allowing him to withdraw.
