Squirrel Removal in Manasquan, NJ

Challenge

I went out on a service call for a homeowner in Manasquan, NJ who believed he had squirrels in his attic but needed a second opinion. Before I began inspecting I spoke to the homeowner who mentioned that he heard noises in his attic a few days after the electrician he hired began working. This immediately made me suspicious. Sure enough, as I began inspecting I came across an open hole on the side of the roof that was serving as the main access point for the squirrels. I then inspected the attic and found squirrels running through the insulation!

Squirrels in your attic are NEVER a good thing. They essentially turn your attic into a giant nest! They'll destroy your insulation, chew exposed wires, creating a fire hazard, and urinate and defecate all over. It's imperative to safely remove squirrels out of your attic as quickly as possible.

Solution

For this situation, I installed a one-way device over the main access point. This device is designed to safely allow the squirrels to exit the attic but prevent them from getting back in. To prevent the squirrels from re-entering the attic in another area I placed several baited traps along the squirrel's path. In a short amount of time, all the squirrels were safely caught in our devices. We then sanitized the attic and sealed up the hole with metal flashing to prevent additional squirrels from entering the home.
