Pests We Treat - Carpenter Bees Make Galleries in the Rafters of a Home in Brielle, NJ
We went out on a service call for a homeowner in Brielle, NJ who was complaining of carpenter bees in his home. Carpenter bees are considered a wood destroying insect and will drill 1/2 inch diameter holes in wood to create galleries. Carpenter bees cause costly structural damage. Over time, their presence weakens wood and leaves stains. The holes carpenter bees create can invite rodents and other pests, as well as mold and rot if moisture gets in.
