Pests We Treat Photo Album: Poor Kitchen Sanitation Leads to a Horrible Cockroach Infestation in Waretown, NJ

Multiple Issues with Sanitation
The kitchen area of the restaurant was heavily infested with cockroaches. After conducting a thorough inspection of the area we discovered multiple sanitation issues.

Dirty All Over
There was a pile of dirty rags underneath the sink area, a buildup of grease all over the sides of almost every piece of kitchen equipment, piles of liquid throughout the area, and several of the garbage cans were overflowing with trash!

Need a New Cleaning Protocol
We told the owner that everything that was contaminated must be thrown away and everything that isn't nailed down must be removed for an intensive treatment. We also informed him that he and his staff need to immediately institute a new cleaning procedure in order to prevent any future and additional pest and rodent infestations. We were thrilled that he agreed to this.

Starting the Treatment for Cockroaches
Once they removed everything, we treated the entire kitchen with a residual application that's combined with an EPA registered insect growth regulator. This treatment affects the cockroaches' reproductive system and prevents them from reaching adulthood.

Now We're Gonna Flush Them Out
Once that was done, we applied a knockdown aerosol product to every single crack, crevice, appliance, and baseboard throughout the kitchen. This will not only exterminate the cockroaches quickly, but also flush them out of hiding & into the growth regulator that we just applied.

Onto the Next Step
Next, we installed several pheromone monitoring devices throughout the kitchen. Lastly, we scheduled a number of return visits to monitor the infestation and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
