Lots of Droppings and Food
As we inspected the kitchen for activity, we noticed some rat droppings near the dishwasher. As we inspected closer, we found a ton of rat feces and dog food underneath the dishwasher.
Lots of Garbage & Dog Food
As you can see, we found a lot of items underneath the dishwasher. We found old dish towels, dog food, fake plants, and plastic bags. Looks like the rat created a nice little nest!
Clean it Up & Set Up
We carefully removed all of the nesting debris and dog food and then cleaned up the rat droppings. We suggested that the homeowner properly store the dogfood in a sturdy, tamper proof container and make sure to remove the pet food once his dog has finished eating.
Baited Rodent Stations
Next, we installed several rodent bait stations throughout the kitchen and around the exterior of the home. Once that was done, we scheduled several follow up visits to keep an eye on the rat activity and replenish the bait in the bait stations as needed.
