Pests We Treat Photo Album: Mice Living in the Boiler Room & Basement in Jackson, NJ
The mice were residing in the insulation!
Feces Found in Insulation
As we inspected the boiler room, we found several pieces of insulation that was full of mice feces...
Lots of Mice Tunnels
... and mice tunnels!
Chew on the Wires
Mice will often tunnel in the insulation to create a warm nesting place. Once mice infest the attic, they not only destroy expensive insulation with their droppings and urine, but they can also chew on electrical wires, creating a potential fire hazard. Mice in the attic are also a health hazard for the entire home. The mice were actually coming from the boiler room up into the kitchen sink!
Bait Stations
We installed a rodent bait station inside the kitchen sink cabinet and along the seal plate in the boiler room. We then went outside and set up several rodent bait stations close to kitchen and around the property. Once we were done, we scheduled several follow up visits to monitor the activity and replenish the bait in the rodent bait stations until the mice are no longer infesting the home.
