Pests We Treat Photo Album: Filthy Restaurant Has Massive Cockroach Infestation in Middletown, NJ
Gunk Around Dispense Lines
There was a massive amount of gunk buildup and cockroaches around the dispense lines!
Poor Sanitation
As we continued inspecting the restaurant, we found more cockroaches in the kitchen, the trash room, and the sink room. We also found other areas that were dirty. The garbages were overflowing, there was grease and food debris all over the walls, and more of the dispense lines had mold and other bacteria all over it.
An Intense Cleaning & Treatment
We told the manager and the owner that everything that was contaminated must be thrown away and everything that isn't nailed down must be removed for an intensive treatment. The manager agreed, shut down the business for a short period of time, and he and his staff removed and discarded all the contaminated items. Once they were finished we treated the entire restaurant with an EPA registered insect growth regulator that is combined with a residual product. This treatment affects the cockroaches' reproductive system and prevents them from reaching adulthood.
Now to Flush Them Out
Next, we applied a knockdown aerosol product to every single crack, crevice, appliance, and baseboard throughout the restaurant. This treatment is going to not only exterminate the cockroaches quickly, but also flush them out of hiding & into the growth regulator.
Last Couple of Steps
Once that was completed, we installed several pheromone monitoring devices throughout the high infestation areas of the restaurant. The last thing we did was scheduled a number of follow-up visits to monitor the infestation and, if needed, apply any additional treatments until the cockroaches are no longer infesting the restaurant.
