Pests We Treat Photo Album: Massive Termite Damage Found During Renovations in Marlboro, NJ
As They Were Renovating
As the homeowner was tearing down the walls in his basement, he discovered that multiple support beams and joists had severe termite damage in them.
Not Just the Beams
Once we arrived and inspected the area, we also found termite damage on the walls too.
Mud Tubes Created by the Termites
We also found several active termite mud tubes throughout the area. Mud tubes are pencil-width size tubes made by the worker termites.
Foaming Termiticide
For treatment, first we injected a foaming termiticide into the walls and throughout the wooden beams.
Now the Liquid Termiticide
Afterward, with the owner's permission, we drilled into the flooring in the basement, and around the entire exterior of the home, and injected a liquid version of the termiticide.
A Undetected Protective Zone
Both of these applications bind to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect. The termites will unknowingly come in contact with this treatment as they go about their normal routines, bring it back to their nest, and transfer it among their colony
Spreads Throughout the Colony
The applications then spreads throughout their colony, and a short while later, the termites will be exterminated and the home will be protected from termites for many years to come. Once we finished, we plugged and filled in each one of the drill holes.
