Dripping with Sweets
Fruit flies are attracted to the fermenting sugars present in spilled alcoholic beverages or soft drinks. Since there was spilled sugary liquids all over the soda dispenser tubing, the fruit flies were going crazy!

Additionally, several of the dispenser trays were filled with sugary liquids.
Need to be Cleaned ASAP
We brought these sanitation issues to the owners attention and told him that these areas need to be cleaned and kept clean in order prevent any issues with fruit flies (and other pests). He agreed and he and his staff began cleaning.
Treatment for the Fruit Flies
Once they finished, we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drains.
Fly Traps
Afterward, we treated the high infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies and installed several fruit fly traps. The attractant in the traps draws the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps exterminates them within moments of contact. Lastly, we scheduled several follow-up visits to monitor the fruit fly activity and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
