Hornets on the Second Floor

While performing the monthly service on a local high school in Toms River, NJ, the custodial staff mentioned that there was a large hornets nest on the second floor of the school above the gym windows.

Bald-Faced Hornets

As we examined the hornets nest, we identified them as bald-faced hornets. Bald-faced hornets are aggressive stinging insects that carry a venom that makes their stings hurt, itch, and swell for about 24 hours. What makes them even scarier is they have smooth stingers, which means they can sting over and over again, can actually sense vibrations in the air, and remember their invader's face!

Treatment for Bald-Faced Hornets

Using our extendable pole, we injected a knockdown aerosol application directly into the nest. This treatment exterminates the bald-faced hornets almost immediately.

Hornets are Exterminated

A short while later, we removed the nest, disposed of it, and applied a liquid residual to the area. This product will eliminate any bald-faced hornets that return to this area as well as prevent them from building a new nest.
