Don't Be Intimidated

Cicada killers look intimidating, but unless you step on them or grab them, they're harmless.

Clever Name

Cicada killers get their name from the fact that the females will paralyze a cicada with their stinger, carry it back to their burrow, and lay their eggs under the left or right second leg of the cicada. The eggs then hatch and the larvae begin to eat the cicada while it is paralyzed. 

Dusting Each Burrow

We treated each individual burrow with a residual dusting application.

Cicada Killers Exterminated

The Cicada killers will pass through the dusting application every time they enter and leave their nest. In a short amount of time, the cicada killers will be exterminated.
