Pests We Treat Photo Album: Broken Fridge Caused a Bad Fruit Fly Infestation in Bernardsville, NJ
This manager in Bernardsville, NJ had no idea he had this bad of a fruit fly infestation!
Yea...That's Bad
After finding a few fruit flies in the basement area of this building, we noticed that they seemed to be emerging from the fridge. So we opened it up and came across one of the worst fruit fly infestations we've seen this year!
Had No Idea
Apparently, the fridge broke over a month ago and since the manager rarely goes into the basement, he had no idea. The food and other perishable items inside went bad and attracted the fruit flies.
Get Rid of It
After showing the owner, we HIGHLY recommended that he dispose of the fridge, and everything inside of it, ASAP. He agreed and also had his maintenance staff clean the area.
Fly Baiting the Area
Before we left, we applied a fly bait to the area in order to control the adult fruit flies still in the area.
