Pests We Treat Photo Album: Fruit Fly Problems at Commercial Property in Princeton, NJ
There's the Reason
As we began inspecting the bar area, we noticed a large number of fruit flies hovering near the area. We inspected the area and noticed numerous sanitation issues that were contributing to the problem, such as garbage and debris harboring under the bar area...
Gunk in the Drains
... buildup up liquid debris in the sink...
Floor Mats
... various spoiled liquids pooling in the floor mats
Dirty Holder
and a dirty liquids pooling in the dispenser holder.
Underneath Equipment
We then checked behind the equipment in the sink room and found a buildup of grease and filth. Dark-eyed fruit flies thrive in moist, smelly organic debris and breed under equipment, near drains, sinks...
Beverage Taps
...and beverage taps where water can settle and allow a buildup of organic matter.
Told the Owner
We brought these sanitation issues to the owner's attention and recommend a few simple cleaning procedures to prevent any future pest infestations. Both he and his staff immediately began to clean the place from top to bottom to get rid of all the problems areas.
Now it's Our Turn
As they were cleaning, we treated the infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies. Next, we removed all the debris and used a heavy-duty brush to thoroughly scrub every single one of the floor drains.
Fruit Flies Exterminated
Next, we applied a liquid application that removes the bad bacteria from the drain, which eliminates the fruit fly's breeding habitat. Lastly, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drain.
