Came After the Mulch

As I started my inspection, I noticed that the mulch bordering the home was fresh and new. I asked the homeowner if the millipedes' issue began around the same time as the mulch delivery and she said yes. It's very common for millipedes to be delivered with fresh mulch. The moisture from the mulch makes for a great millipede harborage environment.

Moving the Mulch

I used my pick ax to move the mulch around a bit so I could treat multiple layers of the mulch. By disrupting the mulch I knew that it would be a much more effective treatment.

Treating for Millipedes

I applied a liquid application to all of the mulch beds, as well as the entire exterior of the home. Once the millipedes come in contact with this product, they are neutralized almost immediately.

Push it Back and Treat Again

I then pushed the much back on top and treated it again. Due to this thorough treatment, in no time at all, the millipedes will be exterminated.
