Pests We Treat Photo Album: Basement Bombarded with Mice in Bradley Beach, NJ
I responded to a customer's complaint of mice in the basement of their home in Bradley Beach, NJ.
Condensation Hose
Upon inspection of the home, I found a hole around a condensation hose going through the foundation wall into the basement which wound up being the entry point for the mice.
Turn Off the Lights
I went to the basement, turned off the lights and saw light coming through from outside.
A Routine Inspection is Vital
We always encourage homeowners to be proactive and conduct a routine inspection of their home to find an potential entry points for pests, rodents, and wildlife.
Stuff It and Seal It
I stuffed every potential entry point with copper mesh and sealed it up with a premium waterproof adhesive.
Can't Chew Through It
The mice hate the taste of copper mesh and won't be able to chew through threw that or the adhesive.
Now for the Bait Stations
I installed rodent bait stations on the interior sills and then placed one of our exterior rodent bait stations next to the problem area to deter the mice from attempting re-entry. I'll return for several follow-up visits to monitor the infestation and replenish the bait until the mice are no longer present.
