Although there were several ants crawling around the bathroom, in order to effectively treat the problem, I must find their main colony.
A Crack in the Tub
While observing the ants, I noticed that the grout around the tub was cracked. Upon closer inspection, I noticed this is where the ants were coming from.
Another Surprise Guest
As I opened up the hot tub hatch, I found the main ant colony and an additional pest...spiders!
Treat for Spider and Ants
I brushed away all the spider webs and treated the area with a residual product that is effective against spiders and ants.
The Whole Home
At the request of the owner, I treated every room in the interior of the house with the residual application. Once I finished, I then treated the exterior.
No More Ants or Spiders
