Mice Droppings
As I inspected the property, I observed an abundance of mouse droppings in the basement.
The Access Point
Continuing my inspection, I also noticed that the vent for the dryer had a large gap around it and that was entering the living area behind the washer & dryer.
The Laundry Room Too
Sure enough, I found mouse droppings in the living room. I carefully cleaned up the droppings in all the rooms.
Stuff It
To close off this access point, I stuffed it with copper mesh. Mice hate the taste of copper mesh and are unable to chew through it.
Waterproof Sealant
I also sealed the copper mesh in place with a waterproof adhesive.
The Bait Stations
I then installed several rodent bait stations throughout the basement and living room and installed several exterior bait stations along the property.
Check the Status
Lastly, I scheduled a follow-up visit to inspect the stations in order to monitor the activity and refresh any bait that might have been depleted.
