While performing a routine service for a Home Protection Plan customer in Freehold, NJ, I came upon an active yellow jackets nest.
A Small Gap
As I was inspecting the area, a small group of yellow jackets emerged from a gap by the garage door, ready to defend their nest.
Put on the Bee Suit
I quickly equipped my protective bee suit and took a closer look. There was a baseball-sized yellow jackets nest underneath that gap. No one noticed it beforehand because the area was obscured by the large bushes in front.
Let's Neutralize Them
I treated the area with a knockdown liquid application, which will exterminate the yellow jackets almost immediately.
Sayonara Yellow Jackets
After several moments, I removed the nest, disposed of it, and applied a residual application and sealed up the gap with a waterproof adhesive to prevent reinfestation.
