Gap Above the Electrical Outlet
When I arrived, the homeowner told me that the nest was located right by her front door. I inspected the area and noticed a very small opening above the electrical outlet box that the yellow jackets were entering and making a nest.
Extremely Hostile
Yellow jackets are extremely territorial and aggressive. If anything comes within close proximity to their nest, they WILL sting and their stings are excruciating.
The Best Treatment
The most effective treatment is to inject a dusting application directly into the opening. The dust will expand and stick to all the areas including the nest. Any time any type of debris comes in contact with their nest, the yellow jackets immediately clean it out in order to protect their queen.
Stand Back and Watch
I applied the dust and stood back and watched for a few moments as the yellow jackets were coming in and out rapidly. A short while later, they were eliminated. I sealed up the gap using a waterproof adhesive to prevent any future infestations from yellow jackets.
