Way back in the Corner
As I was treating the backyard, I noticed a trail of ants by the back gate all the way in the corner. I followed their trail and noticed that the ants were trailing up and down some of the small trees.
Best of Both Worlds
The ants were using the trees as a way to get from one property to the other. They made their own road system and were trying to find their new long term nesting area.
Not on my Watch!
If left alone, the ants will infest both homes on each property, and I'm not going to let that happen! I treated the ant trail and the base of all the trees with a liquid non-repellant. I also applied a granular bait to the area.
End of the Ants
Both of these products won't exterminate the ants immediately, but rather keep them around long enough for them to carry the treatments back to their nest and spread it amongst the entire colony. In a short amount of time, the ants will be no more.
