Pests We Treat Photo Album: Termite Treatment in Toms River, NJ
Recently, I went out for a service for a new homeowner in Toms River, NJ who was having an issue with termites.
Termite Mud Tube in the Basement
The owner mentioned seeing some sort of "tube" hanging in her basement. I inspected and discovered that it was an active termite mud tube.
Use it For Safe Traveling
Termite mud tubes are small tunnels that the termites use from traveling from their nest to a food source and protect them from dry air.
To Treat the Interior
To stop the termites in their tracks, I drilled into the concrete and treated the soil under the front stoop with a liquid termiticde. The front stoop is a common spot that the termites enter the basement from.
Foaming the Basement Ceiling
I also injected a foam termiticide up into the ceiling in the basement where the mud tube came out of.
The Termite Treatments
Both of these treatments bind to the treated area and creates a protective zone that the termites cannot detect.
Protected from Termites
Once the termites come in contact with the either of these treatments, they'll transfer it to other termites in the colony and in a short amount of time, they are eliminated. Now, the home will be protected from termites for many years to come.
