After a thorough inspection, we discovered that these "winged ants" were actually termite swarmers and there was a large infestation of them in the living room emerging from the window frame!

To ensure that these termites were eradicated, we drilled into the concrete and treated under the stoop abutting the house and along the entire exterior with a liquid termiticide.

Lastly, we installed a Sentricon termite baiting system around the entire property. The termites will eat the cellulose material inside the baiting system or share it with the others and ingest an insect growth inhibitor, which prevents them from being able to molt.
