After finding odorous house ants throughout the entire home, I began following their trail to locate the source.

Eventually, I found the main colony underneath a bathtub in a bathroom that was currently being renovated.
What Are Odorous House Ants
Odorous house ants are about 1/16" in size and give off a rotten, coconut smell when they are crushed. Once inside a home they usually nest in wall voids, near heat or wet surfaces.
Now That I Found the Source
After finding the source, I began treatment. I applied a liquid non-repellant directly onto the colony, along the exterior of the home, and throughout the cracks and crevices throughout the entire interior of the home.
Soon
Once the ants come in contact with the product, they'll transfer it to the other ants in the colony as well as the queen. Soon, the ants are neutralized.
