These Pests Are...
I started inspecting the side of the house and found the pests in questions. A closer look revealed that these are clover mites.
What Are Clover Mites?
Clover mites are pinhead size, reddish plant feeders that occasionally invade homes. They do not pose a threat to humans and are usually encountered on the sunny side of homes.
Managed to Get Inside
As I went to inspect the inside of the home I discovered that the clover mites managed to get inside through a tiny gap in the window sill.
How to Remove Them
I carefully vacuumed up all the clover mites on the inside of the home and then applied a light liquid application along the entire exterior of property, along the bottom of the lower windows, and approximately 10' of the grass areas leading out from the house.
Gone in No Time
This treatment will knock out these pesky insects in no time at all.
Will Repair the Gap
The homeowner informed me that he will hire a professional contractor to seal up the cracks in the all the windows.
