Pests We Treat Photo Album: Fruit Flies in Commercial Buildings
Flying Around
When we arrived we spotted fruit flies flying around the kitchen. Although fruit flies breed in rotting fruits and vegetables, they can also breed in in drains, garbage disposals, trash containers, mops and dirty rags.
We Found Them
We started inspecting the area and found the fruit flies breeding in a filthy drain with a bunch of food debris. These little flies were laying eggs and growing their family.
Water on the Bottom
There were several small puddles under the sink that the fruit flies were harboring in as well. We informed the manager and sanitized the area and removed the water buildup.
How the Treatment Works
Next, we applied an aerosol bait and a residual application. The bait is designed to eliminate the fruit flies when they ingest it and the residual application will prevent against future infestations.
