None in the Bed
After a very thorough inspection, we found no activity on the bed. However, we inspected behind the mattress, found an electrical outlet, and what do you know, a bed bug was seen inside the socket itself!
On the Carpet
Continuing our inspection we found a bed bug on the floor mat by the dresser.
Don't Let the Name Fool You
Just because they are called "bed" bugs, doesn't mean they live just in the bed. Bed bugs like to hide in small cracks and crevices close to a human environment where they have access to their food source.
Let's Get Rid of Them
First, using our HEPA filtered vacuums, we vacuumed the entire house from top to bottom. Then we removed the outlet covers and applied a light residual dust inside the wall voids. Afterwards, we applied a light liquid application to all the surrounding crack and crevice areas in the room and throughout the home. We scheduled a follow-up inspection to monitor the bed bug infestation and apply any additional treatment if needed.
