That's a Lot
I began inspecting the entrance to the crawl space and immediately came across several camel crickets. I then took a look in the crawl space and found dozens more.
What Are They
Camel crickets received their name from their humpbacked appearance, which is similar to that of a camel. They are also known as cave crickets, spider crickets, or most notoriously "sprickets." They can be found in caves, as well as damp, cool areas underneath damp leaves and crawl spaces.
Pure Intimidation
Although camel crickets look like something Stephen King created, they are actually harmless. They don't bite, they don't make noises like normal crickets, and they do not spread illness or disease. However, they can chew on furniture, linen, curtains, and eat clothing that is made out of natural fibers
For This I'll Use
I treated the entire crawl space, the crawl space entrance inside the home and the two neighboring rooms with a liquid non-repellant application. I also applied the liquid application along the exterior and applied a granular bait along the entire exterior and in the crawl space.
Here's What It Does
When the camel crickets come in contact with either of these treatments they will ingest it and in no time at all be eliminated.
