Pests We Treat Photo Album: Birds Defecate Inside Firehouse in Tinton Falls, NJ
The property manager of a new commercial account of Cowleys, a firehouse in Tinton Falls, NJ called Cowleys complaining of birds entering and defecating all over their attic.
Entering Via the Cable Vent
The birds were entering the firehouse via the gable vent. As we inspected inside the attic we found bird feces all over the attic on the insulation.
Seal it Up
After making sure no birds or animals were in the attic area we screened off the attic vents with painted 1/2 inch metal hardware cloth to blend in and secured it tightly with screws and washers.
No Longer Gain Access
This will prevent any further wildlife from entering the attic area and soiling the area.
Seal the Other Side
We also sealed the other side of the gable vent.
Cleaning Up the Mess
We also sterilized and deodorized the entire attic area and then removed the soiled insulation and installed new insulation.
