Cockroaches Hiding Under the Baseboard Heaters in Belford, NJ
Challenge
We were sent out to a new customers home in Belford, NJ to treat for cockroaches. As soon as we began our inspection in the living room, we noticed a bunch of them crawling on the walls and the floor. If you ever spot a number of cockroaches during the day, that's NEVER a good sign. Cockroaches are nocturnal and prefer to hide in dark places. Seeing them during the day means that their looking for food or water or that their hiding areas are so overcrowded that they need a new area.
We notice that they were coming from the baseboard heater, so we took a closer look at that area and BINGO! We found a MASSIVE amount of them underneath this area!
Solution
First, we treated the entire living room, and the adjacent room, with an EPA registered insect growth regulator that's combined with a residual product. This treatment affects the cockroaches' reproductive system and prevents them from reaching adulthood. Next, we applied a knockdown aerosol product to every single crack, crevice, and baseboard throughout the home. This is going to not only neutralize the cockroaches quickly, but also flush them out of hiding & into the growth regulator.
Once that was done, we installed several pheromone monitoring devices throughout the high infestation areas of the home. Finally, we scheduled a number of follow-up visits to monitor the infestation and, if needed, apply any additional treatments until the cockroaches are no longer infesting the property.
