Yellow Jackets Pouring Out of the Drywall in Rumson, NJ
Challenge
We were sent out on an emergency service call to a homeowner in Rumson, NJ to handle a wasp issue in her kitchen. Once we arrived and inspected the kitchen, we noticed that there was a large number of yellow jackets flying around, particularly around a hole in the ceiling. Turns out that the yellow jackets had built a nest in the attic insulation are were escaping through the ceiling vent and attacking the homeowner!
Solution
We injected a knockdown dusting application directly into the nest. After several moments had passed, we then injected a knockdown aerosol application. Both of these treatments will exterminate the yellow jackets in a matter of moments. Once they were eliminated, we removed the nest, disposed of it properly, and then temporarily sealed the opening off until the homeowner repairs the drywall and installs a new vent.
