Bed Bugs Hiding Underneath the Bed in Allentown, NJ
Challenge
This homeowner in Allentown, NJ woke up one morning and found a bed bug feasting on her leg! She immediately called Cowleys and we were sent out to inspect and treat. As we began our inspection, we spotted bed bugs not in the mattress, but in the corners of the bed frame. Bed bugs love to harbor in locations close to where they have easy access to a blood meal. They also like to harbor in tight crevices where they feel pressure on both sides of their body.
Continuing our inspection, we spotted a few bed bugs on the floor close to the rug. We investigated the area and that's when we found even more bed bugs harboring underneath the dresser!
Solution
First, we vacuumed up all the live bed bugs and their eggs. Next, we treated every single infested area with a fungicide application. This product creates a barrier that infects and exterminates the bed bugs over a short period of time. Afterward, we treated every outlet throughout the home with a residual dusting product. This treatment will eradicate bed bugs of all life stages, sex, and feeding status within a short amount of time.
Lastly, we scheduled several follow-up visits to monitor the infestation and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
