Here's How the Rodents Were Entering the Home in Spring Lake, NJ
Challenge
After noticing a large number of rodent droppings in his crawl space, this homeowner in Spring Lake, NJ, called Cowleys. Once we arrived and inspected the area, we confirmed that the owner had mice in his crawl space. In order to successfully remove and exclude the mice from the home, we need to discover how they're infesting the home. After a thorough inspection of the exterior of the property, we found several gaps around a number of utility pipes around the home.
Solution
First, we carefully cleaned up all the mice droppings in the crawl space and along the exterior of the home. Once that was finished, we installed several rodent bait stations throughout the crawl space vents and around the exterior of the property. Next, we stuffed every single gap around the utility pipes on the exterior and interior of the home with Xcluder™ Fill Fabric and then sealed them with a premium, waterproof adhesive. Xcluder™ Fill Fabric is made from a blend of coarse stainless steel and poly fibers to form a highly resilient and impenetrable barrier against rodents and pests.
Lastly, we scheduled several follow up inspections to replenish the bait in the bait stations and monitor the mice activity throughout and around the home.
