Hornets Attack the Dog and the Neighbor in Freehold, NJ
Challenge
As this homeowner in Freehold, NJ was playing with his dog in his backyard and talking to his neighbor one sunny afternoon, he was startled to hear his dog yelp and run around the backyard. Both the owner and the neighbor came to help the poor pup when suddenly the neighbor was attacked and stung by several angry hornets! Everyone ran inside and they called Cowleys for help!
Once we arrived, we equipped our protective bee suit and began inspecting the backyard. Moments into our inspection, we spotted the soccer ball sized hornets nest about 15 feet up in a tree that was on the borderline of the homeowners and neighbors yards.
Solution
We grabbed our extendable pole, attached a knockdown liquid application it it, and then injected it directly into the hornets nest. We then waited a bit and injected a knockdown aerosol product into the nest. Both of these treatments will exterminate the hornets almost immediately.
A short while later, we removed the hornets nest, as well as the branch it was attached to, and disposed of both of them properly.
