Little Black Ants Found on the Siding in Old Bridge, NJ
Challenge
During a regular service of a new client in Old Bridge, NJ, we found several trails of little black ants going up and down the side of the home. Since the ants were going up under the lip of the siding of the property, we checked the inside of the home and found them trailing by the baseboards in the family room.
Solution
First, we treated the entire exterior of the home with a non-repellent liquid residual. Afterward, we placed an ant gel bait next to each of the ant trails. Next, we went inside and, at the owners request, treated the baseboards, cracks, and crevices of the family room (as well as several adjacent rooms) with the liquid non-repellent.
Once the worker ants come in contact with either of these products they'll return to their nest and share the treatments with their queen and the other ants in the colony. They'll do this either by feeding one another, grooming one another, or eating their own dead. In a short amount of time, the ants will be exterminated.
