Mice Found in the Drop Ceiling in Sea Girt, NJ

Challenge

A new customer in Sea Girt, NJ called our office after finding some mice droppings in her laundry room and hearing "scratching" noises in the walls. When we arrived and investigated the area, there was one utility pipe that lead outside, but it was sealed off with a premium adhesive. We decided to, with the owners permission, remove one of the drop ceiling tiles to investigate further. As we checked the area, we found a massive amount of mice droppings on the ceiling tiles as well as a gap around one of the other utility pipes that led outside. This was how the mice were getting inside the home!

Solution

First, we carefully cleaned up all the mice droppings in the laundry room and throughout the home. Next, we installed several rodent bait stations along the beams in the laundry room, the laundry room itself, the adjacent rooms, and the exterior of the home. Afterward, we stuffed the opening around the one utility pipe with chew-proof metal mesh and sealed it with a waterproof, premium adhesive.

Once we finished, we scheduled several follow up visits to monitor the infestation and replenish the bait stations as needed. Once all the mice are gone, the homeowner will replace all the drop ceiling tiles in her laundry room.
