Found Evidence of Mice in the Attic in Carteret, NJ
Challenge
A new customer in Carteret, NJ called our office after hearing "scratching and running" noises in her attic and was afraid that she might have something living up there. When we arrived and began inspecting the area we immediately knew that she has mice. How did we know? There was fresh mice droppings throughout the attic! This presents a severe health hazard to the homeowner and her family.
Continuing our inspection we noticed that there were gaps around every utility pipe and wire that lead outside. This was how the mice got in! Mice can temporarily flatten themselves and squeeze through any opening that is the width of a pencil.
Solution
First, we carefully cleaned up the droppings. Next, we stuffed each opening with chew-proof metal mesh and then sealed them with a waterproof, premium adhesive. Afterward, we installed several rodent bait stations throughout the attic. Lastly, we scheduled several follow up inspections to monitor the activity and replenish the bait stations as needed.
