Mice & Mold Found Inside Home in Mantoloking, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Mantoloking, NJ spotted mice droppings in his kitchen and was afraid that he might have a large infestation, so he called Cowleys for help!
As we inspected, we noticed that the droppings were located primarily near the lower kitchen cabinet. We took a closer look and found a few holes in the wall inside the cabinet. We then continued our search to the exterior of the home and discovered a hole in the foundation under the siding.
As we continued inspecting the interior, we discovered something interesting in the coat closet in the living room - mold! Apparently, a toilet had leaked from the bathroom on the second floor. The homeowner repaired the leak, but didn't notice the mold growth. We showed him the mold growth and informed him that our Mold Solutions department can get rid of the mold and prevent it from coming back. He was happy we discovered it and immediately scheduled an appointment.
Solution
First, we carefully cleaned up the droppings. Next, we stuffed the hole in the cabinets and the one in the exterior foundation with stainless steel mesh and sealed them in place with a premium, waterproof adhesive. Afterward, we installed several rodent bait stations in the kitchen and along the exterior of the home. Lastly, we scheduled several follow up inspections to replenish the bait in the bait stations and monitor the infestation.
