This Will Cause Fruit Flies in Holmdel, NJ
Challenge
While servicing a commercial property in Holmdel, NJ, we came across several sanitation issues that could lead to a major fruit fly problem. There was a couple of floor drains that were dirty and full of discarded debris, a number of busboy buckets that were filled with dirty dishes and food, and several stacks of dirty cups that had soda and other sugary substances in them.
Solution
After observing this, we spoke to the owner and mentioned a few, simple sanitation protocols that will prevent pest issues. Maintaining proper sanitation in your home or business is a great way to prevent pests, like fruit flies, from infesting your building. However, a poor sanitation program always increases the risk of major and expensive pest issues. Being proactive is much more cost-effective than being reactive. First, we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubber. Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drains. With a combination of our preemptive treatment and proper sanitation, pests won't stand a chance!
